Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) – Aloe Vera is one of nature’s very best hydrators. We use organic aloe vera as a base for most of our skincare products because of its ability to hydrate the skin – and help skin retain its moisture. It has the ability to effectively penetrate the skin and transport healthy substances through the skin. Aloe vera provides numerous benefits to the skin, including acting as an excellent moisturizer keeping the skin flexible by giving oxygen to cells, which in turn increases the strength and synthesis of skin tissue.
Kelp Extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum) – Kelp is a complex multifunctional ingredient. Kelp is a natural anti-inflammatory that reduces redness and fades dark circles under the eyes. Additionally studies show that kelp has the ability to slow the breakdown process of elastin and the body’s naturally produced hyaluronic acid. With stronger elastin and increased HA skin is tighter and fuller. Packed with 23 minerals, kelp helps maintain the skins pH balance – so it is neither to oily, nor to dry.
Blue Green Algae Extract (Aphanizomenon Flos Aquae) – Oregon’s claim to fame in the skincare industry, blue green algae found in the Cascade Mountains is the most nutrient intact algae available in the world. The algae have a complete balance of the entire B-Complex of vitamins (including B-12) as well as high levels of vitamin A and C. Almost every organic mineral is contained in the algae; this is important because without minerals vitamins lose their effectiveness. Blue green algae have a high protein content which strengthens skin, hair and nails.
