Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate Acid) – This is a naturally occurring substance in skin/collagen/joints – as such there is very little risk of irritation/allergy. HA attracts and binds water within the cells of the skin and tissue underneath, acting like a sponge. This allows skin to be firmer, and more youthful in appearance. HA can actually absorb approximately 1,000 times its own weight which is what plumps the skin and create the suppleness associated w/ youthful skin.
